My Chemistry Notes based on Malone: Basic Concepts of Chemistry, 9th edition.
A word of caution to my students: The Notes supplied here are just that -- notes. They do not take the place of reading the material in the book, or actively listening and participating in class. I have tried to be as complete as possible and include the content you will be responsible for knowing and understanding. Certainly the text gives quite complete explanations and examples. Do not think that just because you have the Notes you have an understanding of the concepts. The understanding will, hopefully, come during our in-class activities and the reading of the text which gives you more complete explanations and descriptions in context. Furthermore, anything in the chapters that is assigned for reading you are responsible for -- whether or not we actually discuss everything in class.
I will not add extra things for each section from the "Smart Board." However, there are some things we will cover which are not in the book but are in the Notes and which we will discuss in detail, and for which you are responsible. I will, however, periodically provide additional information pages or packets beyond the Notes.
The Notes for the class are based on the chapters of our book ... You need at least Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 to read these.
